At Professional Development and Continuing Education (PDCE) UniMAP, we understand the unique challenges faced by working adults in pursuing further education. To accommodate their busy schedules, we offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs that provide flexibility and accessibility. Throughout 2023, we successfully conducted classes for eight professional programs, enabling our students to balance work and study effectively.

Flexible Learning for Busy Professionals
Our ODL approach leverages online platforms like Google Meet and Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver high-quality education. This method allows students to participate in live classes and access course materials at their convenience. Here’s a breakdown of how we implemented these classes:
Professional Diploma Programs:
- Classes are held once a month on Fridays from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Professional Diploma in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Industrialized Building System (IBS): Classes are held once to twice a month on Saturday or Sunday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Professional Bachelor Programs:
- Classes are held once a month on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Professional Master Programs:
- Classes are held once a month on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Comprehensive Programs for Career Advancement
The eight professional programs offered throughout the year included:
- Professional Diploma in Construction Site Supervision
- Professional Diploma in Facility Management
- Professional Diploma in Construction Traffic Management
- Professional Diploma in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Industrialized Building System (IBS)
- Professional Bachelor in Construction Management
- Professional Bachelor in Facility Management
- Professional Master in Construction Project Management
- Professional Master in Facility Management

Self-Study and Assignments
In addition to the live classes, students are required to engage in self-study and complete assignments through the LMS. This blended learning approach ensures that students can deepen their understanding of the material and apply it to real-world scenarios.
